The conventional approach to providing mental health service is no longer enough to meet the variety of needs in an ever changing world.
There is a dire need to reduce the risk of suicide, the rate of suicide, improve emotional well-being and optimal mental health and performance.
We have been working with different people groups. Helping them to demystify the brain-mind. Showing how the environment, experience, genetics and epigenetics contribute to developing poor mental health which can lead to mindsets of seeing no way out other than taking ones life.
We teach our clients simple measures to bring about reversal of brain changes that contributed to poor mental health in the first place.
Over the past 15 years, of working with individuals and groups with favourable outcomes. We have used the findings in neuroscience combined with effective practice within the faith community to bring about repairs and healing in the mind.
Our practitioners include, psychiatrists, psychologists, Art therapists, Art healers, Personal coach, Educators in special needs, the clergy, G.Y.M facilitators, Pastoral carers , mental health first aiders and volunteers with various skills.
Our interventions include:
The G.Y. M. (a Christian cognitive approach to managing the mind)
Soul Space, an in depth teaching of new creation realities,.
Meditation classes, that takes into consideration people’s learning styles,
Prayer therapy, which is the practice of using prayer therapeutically in a clinical setting .
Writing workshops and brain warming exercises.
In due course we aim to include other interventions, such as Nutrition (brain food) and physical exercise with our own gym, dance room, sensory room and kitchen .
We have so far donated over £360,000 from our own resources in terms dedicating not only hours of time but also personal funds to keep this service going. Thanks to friends of Christ Inn who have also contributed and volunteered their time.
We want to be able to expand our services and make them available to many more people. To do this we need to expand our horizon by getting our own dedicated building where we can freely operate from, get the right staffing levels, the equipments and more resources. Christinn is a faith based service, we are not faith biased.
